2. About Coilwicks

Coilwicks is a print-restoration archive operating from Mare Street, Hackney, London E8, United Kingdom. We restore and sell mid-century British art prints as print-ready PDFs.

3. Personal-use licence (what you get)

Every purchase grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide, personal-use licence to the restored PDF files. This covers:

• Printing for your own home, studio or office
• Use as a gift print (printed and given physically)
• Decorative use in a small commercial space (cafe, hotel room, studio reception)

4. What is not included

• Resale of the digital PDF or the printed output
• Bulk reproduction for retail (more than 25 copies of any single print)
• Inclusion in another art product (calendars, postcards, merchandise)
• Uploading the PDF to AI training datasets or stock-image platforms

If you want extended commercial use, email us with the project and we will quote a one-time extended-use licence.

5. Pricing and payment

All prices are shown in Pounds Sterling (GBP) and charged at checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe Payments UK Ltd with 3D Secure enforced. We never store card details.

6. Delivery

You receive a download link by email within minutes of a successful payment. Files are PDF at 300 DPI, sized for A2 and A3 printing. See the Delivery Policy for full detail.

7. Refunds

14-day refund window for any reason. See our Refund Policy.

8. Intellectual property

The restored PDF files, the website, the brand name and the visual identity are owned by Coilwicks. The original source artwork is, in most cases, out of copyright by virtue of UK copyright term (life of the artist plus 70 years, or 70 years from publication for anonymous works). Where a work is still under copyright we have a licence from the rights holder, noted in the provenance sheet bundled with that title.

9. Liability

Our liability for any single order is capped at the total amount paid for that order. We will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

10. UK consumer rights

As a UK business we comply with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a file is faulty or not as described you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
